Workshop Description:
Interpreting is a demanding profession and we all need support from time to time. However, we may not know how to put it in place for ourselves or use sources of support appropriately. In this highly interactive workshop, we will address what a support network is, it's importance, characteristics of a healthy support network and how to set one up for yourself. We will also learn the "do's" and "don'ts" of using our support networks. Practical application will be made as to why interpreters will benefit from having a solid support network in their lives.
