We will be diving into the book Deaf Utopia: A Memoir – and a Love Letter to a Way of Life by Nyle DiMarco. As we go through the book, we will recognize the experiences that Nyle and his family had to navigate as a multigenerational Deaf family. Learning about what makes him an advocate and activist for those who have experienced language deprivation will help increase awareness of what deprivation is.
