Join our workshop designed specifically for ASL interpreters. Learn effective techniques to implement before, during, and after your interpreting sessions, empowering you to maintain your passion for signing for as long as you desire.

Presenter Bio: 
Jen Kagan is a certified RID interpreter currently based in Mexico. She is also a certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher CIYT Level 3 and a Certified Yoga Therapist C-IAYT, with 1000's of hours studying and teaching. Ayurveda Therapist Level 1 from Ayushkama Ayurveda Institute, Vedic Counseling with Dr. Frawley, and cranial sacral therapy and Ayurvedic Health Coach.

Educational Outcomes: 
Interpreters will be able to: 

  • Visualize the anatomy of the hand and wrist.
  • Evaluate their working station and interpreting style and see if this is part of the cause of their pain
  • Comprehend and put into practice the three aspects to have healthy hands and wrists (strength, flexibility and relaxation)
  • Practice key routines for relieving and preventing hand tension and tightness
  • Evaluate if their condition is chronic and in need of therapy or if a regular practice is sufficient.
