He received his Masteris in Deaf Studies: Cultural Studies in 2006. His Master's thesis focused on developing criteria for a better quality of ABC storytelling. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. while teaching at the University of South Florida in the Deaf Studies Program, in the Dept. of Communication Sciences & Disorders. He lives in Lutz, Florida with his wife, Kat, their children, Boone, Cypress, Wilder and their dog, Roseanne Barr, a smelly Boston Terrier.
