TIPTON COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM

Tipton County serves Hearing Impaired & Deaf students from pre-school to 12th grade. The students receive services from the regular curriculum with assistance provided by an interpreter. The students receive special services (resource) from the Special Education Department as indicated by the IEP. Speech and Language services are also administered by the Speech and Language Pathologist. Audiological evaluations are conducted on an annual basis at either the West TN School for the Deaf or University of Memphis. Assistive Listening Devices are provided based upon need.
