Affiliate chapter of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. with subchapters in the Chattanooga, Knoxville, Memphis, Nashville, and Northeast (Johnson City) Tennessee areas. T.R.I.D. seeks to promote professionalism among interpreters and to encourage skill development through workshops, publications, and interaction with the Deaf community. Members work to advance the general welfare of people who are Deaf in regard to public awareness of and access to interpreting services.
