Organization Description
The Tennessee Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program promotes the hearing screening of all infants prior to hospital discharge or by ONE month of age; audiologic evaluation by THREE months of age for infants that did not pass the hearing screening; and early intervention services by SIX months of age for infants diagnosed with hearing loss (Deaf or Hard of Hearing -DHH). The program provides families of children who are DHH the opportunity to receive parent to parent support in the communication mode chosen by the family. We provide a list of hearing providers across the state.
