Angry Deaf People Productions was founded as a response to the constant cultural appropriation of Deaf people in the film industry. Our ultimate mission is to build a safe space for Deaf filmmakers to tell their stories… And to put an end to the casting of hearing actors in Deaf roles.

The majority of our cast and crew are Deaf. We deliver multi-genre stories that revolve around Deaf characters, sign language, and our way of life. Continuing the commitment to having deaf individuals in key creative roles, such as directors, writers, and producers. By prioritizing deaf voices in the filmmaking process, Angry Deaf People can offer a unique perspective and ensure authentic representation.

Changing the norm.
The independent film scene remains to be one of the most inaccessible forms of art. We aim to change that by investing in the Deaf ecosystem.
Go beyond the deaf experience and explore intersecting identities. Develop stories that depict the lives of deaf individuals from diverse backgrounds, such as different ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, or disabilities.
