To raise awareness for medical advancements in the field of deafness, especially those related to cochlear implantation, in able to contribute to a world of quality hearing for those who suffer from all types of hearing loss through education and support from numerous organizations.

Deaf students face many challenges in their quest for a college education. Hearing impairment can make it difficult to navigate through an educational system that is largely focused on the needs of the hearing population.

(Note: in order to become a Texas BEI Certified Interpreter, you must have an associate degree or have earned 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university.)

Colorado Commission for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind (CCDHHDB) was established on July 1, 2000, as a Type II state agency to address the needs and concerns of Colorado’s deaf, hard-of-hearing, and deafblind populations by Senate Bill 00-194.
