Youth Camp Juliena is a week-long summer camp for kids ages 6-13 that are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Through fun activities, campers form lasting friendships and acquire valuable leadership, team-building, social, and communication skills.
GSLAD was founded in 1947 by a group of Deaf people. It was originally named the St. Louis Silent Athletic Club. It had 30 members by the end of 1947. In 1974, the organization was changed to Greater St. Louis Association of the Deaf, Inc.
OKCAD began in 1944 as a social club for the growing Deaf population who flocked to Oklahoma City from the rural areas during World War II in search of employment.
