Louisiana Association of the Deaf

MISSION STATEMENT

The Louisiana Association of the Deaf, Inc. (LAD) – operated by, of and for the Deaf community – advocates and promotes to improve the quality of life for Deaf, DeafBlind and hard of hearing individuals including, but not limited to, parents of d/Deaf children, Interpreters, deaf professionals, late-deafened adults and Children of deaf adults (CODA).

An Affiliate of the National Association of the Deaf.

VISION

Advocate for equal access for deaf and hard of hearing Louisiana citizens to improve educational, employment and public services.

Develop programs to prepare future deaf and hard of hearing leaders
Promote public awareness and education about deaf and hard of hearing people. 

Support the programs and services of LAD including its boards, committees and public education activities
