Organization Description

Break down barriers and pave the way for your academic and career success. Work directly with staff and faculty who speak your language and get support for your specific needs.

Together we’ll create an individualized plan that works for you.

At JCCC, you’ll have access to many free resources to help you reach your academic goals:

  • A counselor who is fluent in ASL
  • More than 20 certified ASL interpreters
  • A dedicated reading education specialist
  • Deaf and hard-of-hearing faculty and staff
  • Accessible digital media
  • Personal FM systems
  • Public videophones across campus

Work with an academic counselor who is fluent in ASL to choose from more than 100 degrees and certificates. Plot out your career path and select your classes.

As a full-time student, you can usually complete a degree in two to three years, or a certificate in one year or less.

You can also work with counselors to ensure a successful transfer to schools such as Gallaudet University, the National Technical Institute for the Deaf or the University of Kansas.

Why JCCC?

JCCC has a long history of serving the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community. Our goal is for your college experience to be as accessible and barrier-free as possible.
