Organization Description

AASD is a vibrant day school located in metro Atlanta serving over 130 deaf/hard of hearing children ages three to twenty-one years from over 27 school districts surrounding Atlanta. At the heart of everything we do is our passion to provide a language-rich, student-centered learning environment that empowers our students to lead independent, fulfilling lives, and become productive, contributing members of society.

Through the power of American Sign Language and English, we create an inclusive and nurturing educational space. Our commitment to a language-rich environment ensures that our students can effectively communicate, express themselves, and engage in meaningful interactions with their peers, teachers, and the broader community.

As a student-centered institution, we prioritize the individual needs and aspirations of each child. We believe in tailoring our approach to accommodate various learning styles, strengths, and challenges. Our dedicated faculty and staff work tirelessly to support and guide our students on their unique educational journeys.

Our ultimate goal is to empower our students, providing them with the skills and knowledge they need to flourish both academically and socially. By fostering independence, resilience, and a strong sense of self, we prepare them to navigate the world with confidence.
