Silent Family Movie Night

"No Ordinary Hero: The SuperDeafy Movie," starring John Maucere, Michelle Nunes, Zane Hencker, and Marlee Matlin.

Follows Tony Kane, a deaf actor who plays a superhero named SuperDeafy on a children’s TV show. When he meets Jacob, a young deaf boy struggling to fit in at his mainstream school, both learn valuable lessons about identity, self-acceptance, and the importance of communication through sign language. The film highlights Deaf culture and challenges society’s ideas of what it means to be “normal.” 

There are two separate screenings advertised:

1. When: November 1st. Time: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM. 
   Where: Pruitt Branch, 117 Charles E Davis Blvd, Nashville, TN 37210.
    
2. When: November 10th. Time: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM. 
   Where: Goodlettsville Branch, 205 Rivergate Pkwy, Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
   
   Closed captioning, snacks, and drinks are provided.
