Signs of Spring will be back in Cades Cove on Saturday, April 18, with programs and activities running from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The Signs of Spring event celebrates National American Sign Language Day and is planned in partnership with local deaf organizations, Maryville City Schools, and ASL interpreting programs at the University of Tennessee and Maryville College, Knoxville Center of the Deaf, and the Partnership for Family, Children, and Adults. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the Smokies from park rangers and members of the deaf community
This year’s celebration aligns with National Junior Ranger Day, and we’re excited to partner with Smokies Life to host a special Junior Ranger station at Cable Mill. Visitors can explore hands‑on activities inspired by this year’s theme and work toward earning their Junior Ranger badges
Watch for a signed announcement revealing this year’s theme, coming soon!
To get free bus transportations through Knoxville Center of the Deaf, please find the event registration link above and reserve your seat(s)!
