EARS will be facilitating two (2) focus group meetings in conjunction with a NOAA grant that Vanderbilt's Program in Disaster Research and Training and Jacksonville State University, Department of Emergency Management received.  The meetings will be held at the Williamson County Public Safety Center.  The purpose of the focus groups is to help NOAA understand how dDeaf/HH/DB people receive emergency communications in the event of a tornado, flood, or other disasters.

They are asking for your help in recruiting people that live in the Middle Tennessee area to apply to participate in one of the focus groups.

8:30 AM - 12:00 PM (ASL Interpreters). (for Deaf & DeafBlind)

1:00 PM - 4:30 PM (CART) (for Hard of Hearing and Oral Deaf)

Parents, veterans, and senior citizens are also encouraged to apply!

(Lunch will be provided for all participants at 12pm)

Please help spread the word!

Only a limited number of people will be allowed to participate. They encourage anyone interested to apply.
(There is a QR code and link (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DHOH-EMCOMM) to the very short application included in the flyer.)

Everyone who applies will be informed if they are selected to participate or not. The deadline to apply is August 17th.

If you have any more questions, please contact EARS at earsofmiddletn@gmail.com
