Organization Description

Child Language Intervention, Measurement, and Best practices (CLIMB) Lab at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is recruiting for the "Increasing Word Learning Efficiency for Children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing through Retrieval Practice" study.

We know that children who are deaf and hard of hearing often have difficulty learning new words. In this study, we will teach 5- to 8-year-old children who are deaf and hard of hearing made-up words for unfamiliar objects under two conditions. We want to know whether providing feedback and spacing words in a certain way help children who are deaf and hard of hearing learn words faster. Participants are compensated for their time. Please see the attached flyer for more information and contact the CLIMB Lab research team at climblab1@gmail.com or (615) 936-5114 if you are interested in learning more.
