The Division of Rehabilitation Services administers programs that provide services to people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have speech impediments.

The Division for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing & Late Deafened (DDHHLD) provides a variety of services for Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing and Late-Deafened citizens of Maine, including information, referral, and advocacy; Vocational Rehabilitation services; Commission for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Late Deafened; iCanConnect National Deaf-Blind Equipment Distribution Program; providing Deaf Identification Cards; providing vehicle placards for Deaf & Hard of Hearing identification; providing 70% TTY discount in-state calls, and more. Southern Oregon Education Service District (SOESD) provides schools with essential services across the largest ESD region in Oregon. Services are provided to students with a variety of disabilities in addition to workshops and resources for educators.
