Gate Communications

Gate Communications is a national, non-profit organization. Gate is a four-fold organization providing interpreting services, sign language/interpreter education, community events, and ministerial outreach. Gate has taught interpreting workshops in 26 states and 2 countries, and presently serves as the foremost performance interpreting educators in the U.S. They have served sign language students locally in Middle Tennessee, and as far away as Africa and Australia. 

Gate has a full private collegiate level ITP program for individuals interested in beginning or advanced sign language education. Gate has created educational materials in the form of books and DVDs and sells additional products from jewelry to window decals. Gate has held the largest Deaf accessible events in the state of Tennessee, and local community events like Gate’s Pumpkin Fest, bless the local Deaf community with opportunities to gather. 

Gate regularly works in both America and Mexico, and additionally supports the Deaf financially in other communities throughout the world. Gate is about people and making the world a better and more accessible place for the Greater Deaf Community.
