Josh’s educational journey is a unique one! Josh attended a charter school for the Deaf in New Jersey before starting fourth grade at a public school in North Carolina where he was fully mainstreamed until the 7th grade. By that time, he began to self-advocate for a transfer to North Carolina School for the Deaf (yes, in Morganton). After graduating from Gallaudet University with three degrees, Josh began his career at Maternal Child Consortium, a company which provides behavioral health services to Deaf children where he honed his behavioral health skill for eight years. With an itch for a return to dedicating and further honing his skills in school psychology, Josh uprooted the family twice; once to Indiana School for the Deaf then to Maryland School for the Deaf, before arriving here. Working with people and elevating them is Josh’s passion. Josh works hard to make sure humor is sprinkled onto discussions and projects so team members remember better and motivation is sparked. Josh takes joy in considering his day is “done” when he makes somebody in a need of laugh, let out a chuckle. Josh is a proud family member alongside Yvonne Weinstein (Curriculum Coach at TSD) and ten year old CODA daughter. Josh and the family’s favorite thing to do is travel domestically and internationally. Another favorite is food; trying different cuisines especially Indian food.
