Community Night is held the last Monday night of each month. We provide a light meal, fellowship, fun, but most importantly, we invite a community partner to present.

The program this month is fire safety. We have the Chattanooga Fire Department coming to talk to us about this critical topic. They will be providing SafeAwake alarms. This works with a smoke detector, triggering all your senses with a motorized bed shaker, a flashing light, and a low frequency, high decibel square wave sound. You must attend the meeting and sign up to receive this alarm. There will be more information at the meeting. This is only available for Tennessee residents.

These alarms must be installed by the fire department. It is important to get your name on a list to receive one of these. I am sure you have heard about the house fire and tragic loss of a child where the parents are both deaf. We are working diligently to spread information about the availability of these alarms; fire safety plans; and general fire safety.
