Interpreter Workshop - Presented by:  Karin Kalodimos

(1.0 RID CEUs)

If pigs could fly, what would that look like? How does Clark Kent change into Superman? Does a suspension bridge suspend? What about those neurons in our brain…do they look like silly string? How do we, as interpreters, create an equivalent and dynamic target message from the concrete, abstract, and from something that makes no sense? We do it with the power of creativity and imagination! Come learn how to enhance your superpowers. Play games that get those juices flowing, and manipulate language, events, and people in ASL space and on the English tightrope.

Learn how to expand your visual powers to go beyond the linguistic and into the world of imagination. As an added bonus, see how you can use those same superpowers to help your emotional well-being.
