Countries Around the World

This tape presents signs used by Deaf people in different countries to refer to their country. Signs were compiled through interviews with Deaf people from different countries, foreign Sign Language interpreters, members of the U.S. Deaf Olympic team, and participants at the “Deaf Way.” Please note: there may be regional or geo-political variations of signs within a given country that differ from the signs presented on this tape. The country signs are presented in geographic groupings.
