Topic: Life with Usher Syndrome

Laura Godbold is native to New Jersey. She earned her B.A. and M.A. degrees in Deaf Studies / ASL Teaching from Gallaudet University. She has taught those subjects on a collegiate level at the University of North Florida for four years, as well as at a high school level at Virtual Arkansas as an ASL instructor for a year.

At this time, Laura is entering her second year as an adjunct college professor at Carolina University. She is currently living in Alabama with her Deaf husband and their two precious Deaf children (boy and girl). However, despite the common link of being Deaf, Laura identifies herself differently from her family; she identifies as DeafBlind.

Laura is looking forward to meeting the participants and discussing Life with Usher Syndrome!
