The spring season is here now. This event is great for everyone - deaf and hard of hearing, ASL learners and interpreters!   You will enjoy looking around the public park that was created by God. "Prayer Hike" is an opportunity to slow down with Him and enjoy the beauty of nature. It will allow you an opportunity to engage your faith while being active and meeting others. ASL Coffee Chat is a chance for anyone who enjoys American Sign Language to get together, chat, practice, meet new friends, and learn new signs.  It doesn't matter if ASL is your first language, or you only know a few signs.  The location is at First District Coffee Co. (former Farm Depot), 1880 Fairview Blvd. (TN State Hwy. 100), Fairview, TN 37062.  Start approx. 2:30 pm until 4:00 pm.  THIS IS A NEW PLACE FOR THE DEAF COMMUNITY!

Learn Storm Spotting by taking the Basic Refresher Spotter Class. Or take the Advanced Spotter Class if you are already a Storm Spotter. Guest speakers will include local media, NWS meteorologists, emergency management, and special guest speaker, James Spann.

A potluck lunch will begin at 12:00PM. We will be having sandwiches and side dishes (chips, potato salad, pasta salad, cole slaw, green salad, jello salads) dessert and drinks.

This Saturday we have no speaker scheduled.  Instead, we will be teaching ASL after lunch!  This is a result of feedback from members wanting to learn ASL.  Andy Markley has graciously agreed to teach our first class.  You will not only have fun learning some new signs, but you will leave with a greater understanding of the concepts of ASL.
