Gate Communications is hosting Bringing the Stage to Life: NASHVILLE this week. This is a week-long interpreter training workshop that focuses on performance interpreting skills. We have interpreters from across the country joining us for this fun week. We will have interpreted concerts every night throughout the Nashville area. If you like good music, Sign Language, and mingling with Deaf individuals, Sign students, and interpreters then take advantage of some of these great concerts!

The Frist Center for the Visual Arts is having a FREE ADMISSION DAY Sunday, July 26 in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

On Sundays, the café opens at noon, and the galleries open at 1:00 p.m.  There are docent tours, with interpreters, available at 1:30 p.m.

You are invited to attend the Hearing Loss Association of America Kentucky Chapters Conference which will be held on September 11-12, 2015 at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, 280 West Jefferson Street. Our two-day educational program is presented by our membership and our partner the Kentucky Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, to bring better living through information and support in the areas of technology, treatment, and coping skills.

ASL Coffee Chat is a chance for anyone who enjoys American Sign Language to get together, chat, practice, meet new friends, and learn new signs. It doesn't matter if ASL is your first language, or you only know a few signs.
