Come to WellFEST to learn how to become a better you!

Free to the public, WellFEST is the only annual health and wellness exposition in the Greater Nashville area that is fully accessible to individuals with any level of hearing loss. This event will feature free health screenings, informational booths from a range of local services, and fitness presentations from Bridges's personal trainers. Local food trucks will offer refreshments. American Sign Language interpreters will be available on site to ensure that there are no language barriers for attendees.

Time for another Fall picnic and group picture!  Come on out for some good food, fun, fellowship, and games. Bring your own lawn chairs, board games, and lawn games to play!

The next HLAA Nashville meeting will be on September 12, 2015 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. 

Come for lunch, a meeting, and socializing!

Lunch Theme: Brunch foods, Begins at 12:00 PM with a short chapter meeting and social time following (about 1:15 PM)

Please bring: Food for the Emmanuel Food Pantry (to help people in need!)

Chattanooga TODB will have a booth at Go!Fest again this year. Guests are treated to a free day at the zoo for people of all ages and abilities. This is an event that celebrates the accessibility of the city and takes away the stigma of having a disability. It is an opportunity for people of all abilities to meet, greet, and play together. Along with being able to see and interact with the animals in the zoo, there will be adaptive athletics, including wheelchair basketball and cycling, live music, and helicopter landings.

LUNCH:  After the event we will all have lunch at the yacht club, to eat and socialize.  Lunch is being provided by the Harbor Island Yacht Club.

ACTIVITY FORM:  Due to the popularity of this event, reservations will now be required!  The activity confirmation form (in the attached newsletter) must be submitted and returned by Wednesday, September 9, 2015.

The 2015 Deaf Tennessean Expo will take place during the Tennessee Association of the Deaf Convention. Please come and visit the booths to learn more about Deaf culture and the Deaf community! It is open to the public!

The movie is presented in American Sign Language (ASL) with English subtitles.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at DeafConnect of the Mid-South by cash or credit card.  If you use a credit card there is an additional $3.00 processing fee.

No food or drinks allowed.
