A potluck lunch will begin at 12:00PM. We will be having sandwiches and side dishes (chips, potato salad, pasta salad, cole slaw, green salad, jello salads) dessert and drinks.

This Saturday we have no speaker scheduled.  Instead, we will be teaching ASL after lunch!  This is a result of feedback from members wanting to learn ASL.  Andy Markley has graciously agreed to teach our first class.  You will not only have fun learning some new signs, but you will leave with a greater understanding of the concepts of ASL.

We will be having round-table discussions on communication in groups, family get-togethers, holidays, reunions, etc. Get ready and come share your coping strategies!

The mission of the Bionic Ear Association (BEA) is to improve the quality of life of individuals with hearing loss by providing valuable information, education, awareness, and guidance on cochlear implants. The BEA wants you to Hear and Be Heard.

Membership Renewals:  It is time to pay annual dues ($10 single; $15 family membership) The first 5 NEW memberships will received a free Chapter T-Shirt!  So come on out and join the fun with us, and let us know how we can serve you.  We love meeting new members!

Come celebrate Thanksgiving with us including turkey and all the trimmings! Please bring a covered dish -  sign up in advance to let us know what you will bring. Please contact Diana Box. A brief meeting will be held.

Come prepared to do your holiday shopping! A Silent Auction will be held after the program (Cash and Checks only). 

Please bring food for the Emmanuel Lutheran Church food pantry!  Canned meats, peanut butter, and other ready-to-eat proteins are especially needed.

We have having ASL SLAM at ETSU (East Tennessee State University)! This event will consist of participants sharing stories, poems, or songs. You can just come and watch participants and be entertained, or participate yourself! ANYONE (deaf/hoh and hearing, signers and non signers) can participate; Interpreters will be there to voice and interpret. In order to be a participant, all you have to do is come, write your name, then once your name is called, you can share your piece!
