This salon is a free, ticketed event. A limited number of auditorium tickets will be available on-site 30 minutes before show time on the event date. Advance auditorium tickets are limited and guarantee a seat in the auditorium. Arrive early for the on-site ticket line. Once auditorium seats have been filled, guests will be accommodated in alternative viewing locations.

Open captioning and American Sign Language will be provided for Camelot, the Lerner and Loewe classic, on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.  at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.

The musical is inspired by the legend of King Arthur and the fabled love triangle involving his queen Guinevere and trusted knight Sir Lancelot. Patrons will enjoy a new interpretation of the classic, with a spectacular set, lavish costumes, creative lighting design, and inventive staging. Running time is two hours and 45 minutes with one intermission.

This yearly event features ASL interpreters and deaf volunteers providing live interpretation of presentations such as The Last Adam. Hearing guests are also invited, of course, and we expect you will enjoy watching the expressive communication of American Sign Language during the shows and throughout the museum. It can be a real learning experience to be surrounded by people speaking the beautiful language of ASL!

If you have Deaf kids in your schools or if you are a Deaf adult teaching at a local school, this is a fun outing for you and your class! Gate Communications is providing interpreting services for this classic play based on the film, The Outsiders from the 80's. Kids will be descending from around Nashville, so make sure your school gets on the list!
