Sign Language Classes

Please join the online parent get-togethers this fall! We call this COFFEE BREAK.

The event meets online once a month using ZOOM. It is very informal and relaxed – just an easy conversation. Families often have questions they might ask. Below is a sample agenda, possible dates August – December, and speakers – topics.

BEGINNING COURSE IN AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE

For Ages 13 and above

Classes will be held on Mondays: 8/5/19 -11/11/19 AND 1/6/20 - 5/4/20

CLASS TIME: currently set for 11 am - 12:10 pm
(may be extended to 12:30 pm)

TUITION (Must commit to both semesters by July 22, 2019!)

• payment one, due July 22 $300;
• payment two, due Nov 11th $300

INSTRUCTOR:  Steph Buell

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION: (I/ 28 /19)

Designed for families to learn ASL with their very young child (birth-to-five years old). The purpose is to practice ASL in their daily routines at home with their very young children.

This is an online class. Particpants will need a computer or smart phone, access to highspeed internet, and ability to use media players on their computer or home device. Some families may access everything they need at their local library.

The classes are FREE for families with young children who are deaf / hard of hearing.

This early intervention program is designed to provide language from day one, making communication and family bonding easier and stronger. 

Baby ACE & Me is open to families with children ages birth to three where the parent and/or child is Deaf/deaf.  

Each weekly session includes a parent/child interactive exercise, an educational component, and opportunities for parents to build friendships, creating systems of informal support.  Helpful resources and toys are made available to families during the course of each Baby ACE & Me session.
