This yearly event features ASL interpreters and deaf volunteers providing live interpretation of presentations such as The Last Adam. Hearing guests are also invited, of course, and we expect you will enjoy watching the expressive communication of American Sign Language during the shows and throughout the museum. It can be a real learning experience to be surrounded by people speaking the beautiful language of ASL!

The Creation Museum’s annual Deaf Day began in 2010. This yearly event features ASL interpreters and deaf volunteers. Some of the areas feature ASL interpreters providing live interpretation of presentations such as "The Last Adam." We hope many guests will come and enjoy the Deaf Day each year. Hearing guests are also invited, of course, and we expect you will enjoy watching the expressive communication of American Sign Language during the shows and throughout the museum. BBDC will have an Easter Brunch at 9:30  to 10:15 am on April 20, 2014.  BBDC will provide milk, chocolate milk, orange and grape juices. Also coffee will be available.

We will meet at KCD Community Center on April 12th at 9 am for breakfast then Anna Tony Austin will be leading the devotional.

Come and bring breakfast dish to share with others. Bring a sister or two to grow spiritually.

TITLE: “Music in ASL- How to JAM it” PRESENTER: Steve Dye CEU’s: .3 available (compliments of VCI) PRICE: FREE Workshop compliments of Visual Communication Interpreting . PRE-registration required for FREE registration. Cost at the door on the day of event is $10/person. Visual Communication Interpreting (VCI) is pleased to provide this FREE Sign Language Interpreter workshop to area sign language interpreters.

A FREE EVENT!

A Night of Praise in American Sign Language is an evening of worship music performed by area talent to include individual and group performances by interpreters, signers, sign language/ITP students, and deaf performers to include two corporate songs.

ALL music will be from the Christian music genre (contemporary radio, worship music, and gospel hymns). This event is FAMILY friendly and is perfect for deaf and hard of hearing people and their family, friends, as well as for those who LOVE American Sign Language.

Harvest mixed DEAF choir will sign/sing!

Please bring a covered dish.

BBDC will provide ham and you all will need to bring green beans, corn-any kind, Black eyed peas,  any kind of veggie, sweet potatoes or potatoes salad, deviled eggs, green salad with any kind of dressing, macaroni and cheese, dirty rice, any kind of veggie casserole, spinach dip with bread, rolls, etc.

Youth and Adults please bring desserts and drinks.

Interpreters are available. Email Becky Walls to reserve your tickets. Price is $10.00. Deadline is November 26th to confirm you're going. Becky will order tickets online right after that date. Email her at indiangrL4@gmail.com if interested. You also have the option to attend Sunday night Dec. 8th. You can make your own arrangements for that night if you wish.
