We have Nashville Chapter Tennessee Association of the Deaf at 10:30 a.m. business meeting followed by "Welcome Back to School" themed party. Bring:Sides for the main dish (We are providing the meat).  Cost: $5 if you don't bring a side, dessert or drinks. This club is mostly Deaf and Hard of Hearing adults to socialize in American Sign Language even thou everyone is welcome to attend! If you need to know what kind of side dish to bring you can email to NCTADevents@gmail.com. Let's have fun to socialize!!

TOPIC: “Know Your Child” Making decisions for your deaf and hard of hearing child can be difficult. This topic focuses on encouraging parents through that process.

Families will learn about different concepts and how they tie into how families can elevate their deaf or hard of hearing child’s language.

The Tennessee Disability Coalition is conducting focus group discussions to gather perspectives on how people want to engage with their elected officials at the federal, state and local levels.

These groups will consist of 6-8-people and last from 60-90 minutes in various parts of the state.  All discussions will be anonymous with no attribution of comments to specific individuals. The dates, times and locations are listed on the flyer.
