Nashville Chapter Association of the Deaf

We will have Nashville Chapter Assoc. of the Deaf meeting and social from 3 to 5 pm.

We will provide Super Bowl appetizers so please bring your favorite appetizer to share!

We will have games and door prize after the meeting.

This month we will be holding a Community Forum. This is an open forum where members of the Deaf, Deafblind, and Hard-of-Hearing community can come together to discuss important issues, ask questions, and share their thoughts and concerns. To allow for the most people to attend we will be having two separate meeting dates. The first will be February 6th from 1 pm to 3 pm and the Second will be February 8th from 6 pm to 8 pm. We hope to see you there!

Kris Davis will be there for a Meet and Greet as well as representatives Carl Sherard and John Johnson from the Tennessee Council for the Deaf, Deafblind, and Hard of Hearing to hear the concerns of the community.

Knoxville Center of the Deaf Logo

Knoxville Center of the Deaf (KCD) is hosting a town hall meeting. 

The topic is "Rebranding (changing) the name of Knoxville Center of the Deaf". 

We need your inputs. 

Anna Austin will be leading this meeting.

Tennessee Disability Coalition

Disability Day on the Hill will be at the Cordell Hull Legislative Building in downtown Nashville. Boxed lunches will be provided.

There will be an interpreter for Disability Day on the Hill 2024.

When completing the RSVP there is a place to describe any individual accommodations needed to participate. The deadline to request accommodations is February 1st, 2024.

For the DeafBlind Community.

I am hosting an event where I can connect the DeafBlind community to see how KCD can expand their resources and how we can expand our program for the DB.

Please take the opportunity to meet with me on January 20th from 11AM at KCD. The floor is YOURS.

After our meeting, I highly encourage you to stay for our Townhall meeting starting at 1PM.
