Gate Communications is hosting Bringing the Stage to Life: NASHVILLE this week. This is a week-long interpreter training workshop that focuses on performance interpreting skills. Friends, Interpreters, Countrymen, lend me your hands. Join me for an exciting workshop in which we will learn how to better turn Shakespeare's plays into interpreted performance. "But I'm terrified of Shakespeare and have no plans to interpret it anytime soon," you say? Tut, tut. This workshop is for you too. By studying how to interpret Shakespeare, we will get to work on concepts such as performance interpreting, cross-lingual interpretation, poetry, classifiers, visualization, and body use while interpreting. If you can interpret "To be or not to be, that is the question.

You are invited to attend the Hearing Loss Association of America Kentucky Chapters Conference which will be held on September 11-12, 2015 at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, 280 West Jefferson Street. Our two-day educational program is presented by our membership and our partner the Kentucky Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, to bring better living through information and support in the areas of technology, treatment, and coping skills.

Wann’s title as one of the most sought after and beloved performers in the ASL community, has grown into an industry and cultural household name. Combining side splitting adult humor, with heartfelt real life stories from his Coda childhood and teenage life, has become his comedic trademark among the ASL Community. Along with performing, Keith also does workshops and maintains his National Certification as an interpreter, NIC:Master and CI/CT and has been an artistic ASL consultant on video projects including the artist Sia.

West Tennessee School for the Deaf Annual Golf Tournament and fundraiser held at Jackson National Golf Club on Friday, May 15, 2015. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.
