Capitalize your Skills in Music City!

TRID is excited and ready to welcome you to this year's TRID conference in Nashville, TN. This year’s conference will be located at Bridges on June 3-4, 2016. This year we are doing things a little differently; the choice is yours! For each of the three workshop times, you will have two workshops options presented by our very talented and knowledgeable presenters. You will have the opportunity to earn a total of .9 CEUs.

For those who are interested, we will have a small meeting after at Beth's house for the conference volunteers to discuss the annual TRID conference. If you are interested in being on a committee, please let me know and I will get you my address so that you can attend.

This is the second reorganizational meeting of the Nashville, TN RID District. We will be discussing the program schedule for the upcoming year, nominations for officers, and the state RID annual meeting which will be held in Nashville in 2016. Come ready to discuss and be active.

In this workshop, participants will learn various communication techniques and best practices in working with Deaf-Blind individuals in the community. They will learn the roles, responsibilities and differences between the Support Service Providers (SSP), Interpreters, Interveners and Communication Facilitators. Participants will also acquire an understanding of the various types of vision and hearing modalities, modifications in communication, other types of quick messaging techniques and the importance of adaptive equipment.
