We offer Sibshops to children ages 8 - 13 who have brothers or sisters with any special needs (not only deafness), meeting every 8 weeks. We also offer Teen Sibshops for those kids who have "aged out" of the traditional Sibshop program. RSVP Required - contact Tina!

Super HERO Sibshop - A program just for brothers and sisters (8-13 years old) of kids with special needs. Food, games and fun! 

Cost: $5.00 per child (a limited number of scholarships are available)

What: Sibshops are best described as opportunities for brothers and sisters of children with special needs to obtain peer support and education within a recreational context. Sibshops intersperse information and discussion activities with games that are unique and up-beat. Sibshops give siblings a chance to share, have fun, build friendships and find support!

Sibshops are best described as opportunities for brothers and sisters of children with special health and developmental needs to obtain peer support and education within a recreational context. Sibshops intersperse information and discussion activities with games that are unique and up-beat. The program gives siblings a chance to share, have fun, build friendships and find support. Sibshop reflects the Boling Center's commitment to families by focusing on the well-being of the family member most likely to have the longest lasting relationship with the person with special needs.

Event

In the winter months the group will meet at the address provided but during the warmer months they will meet at various parks. Make sure to get added to the email list to know which park the group is meeting at.

There will be a brief meeting from 11-12 and the Easter Party will begin at noon.  Easter costumes can be worn if you want to.  

Admissions:  Adults who bring food: $5; Adults who don't bring food: $7; Visitors: $3; Kids 11 and under are free.
