The purpose of SERID Inc. shall be to hold an annual conference. State Coordinators for the Deaf in the Southeastern United States are responsible for the coordination of the conferences. The target audience includes health professionals, employers, consumers, educators, and other persons interested in issues affecting individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, and/or late-deafened; and to further knowledge concerning these issues through publications, studies, and educational programs.

♥ Lexical Non-Manual Signals: The "TH" signal  
This workshop has a focus on the non-manual "TH" signal. Interpreters will analyze and apply this grammatical marker in various contexts. Video clips and discussion will increase interpreters' confidence. Contexts include: character development, structures, English idioms, conjunctions, adjectives, and more. (0.4 RID CEUs available)

TARGETED POPULATION:  Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deaf-Blind high school students

TARGET NUMBER TO SERVE:  Maximum of 16

TARGETED TIMEFRAME:  Six-five hour sessions (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) over the span of two weeks.  Daily sessions will begin at 9:00 am and end at 2:30 pm.

The puppets are coming! Join the Nashville Public Library and puppetry troupes from six different countries on June 17-19 for the one-and-only Nashville International Puppet Festival 2016! TSD Comprehensive Educational Resource Center invites parents, caregivers and families of children who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deaf-Blind and Deaf with other disabilities ages Birth - 21 to attend. Schedule to include Friday evening dinner and family activities. Saturday will include parent work-shops, student activities and meals.

Registration:  $30 for a family bringing up to five members.
