The ASL Weekend is a unique two-day event for parents, professionals, and anyone interested in learning American Sign Language.  Teens ages 16 and up are welcome to attend. Get personalized instruction and meaningful practice to help you sign with confidence. ALL levels and abilities are welcome!

  • Participants will select behaviors and choices that are indicative of a professional interpreter.
  • Participants will identify what groups are impacted by the choices and behaviors of an interpreter.
  • Participants will develop strategies for minimizing assignment surprises.
  • Participants will evaluate the importance of supporting versus competing with their teammates.

Target Audience: Novice and experienced interpreters and community members.
