Come to WellFEST to learn how to become a better you!

Free to the public, WellFEST is the only annual health and wellness exposition in the Greater Nashville area that is fully accessible to individuals with any level of hearing loss. This event will feature free health screenings, informational booths from a range of local services, and fitness presentations from Bridges's personal trainers. Local food trucks will offer refreshments. American Sign Language interpreters will be available on site to ensure that there are no language barriers for attendees.

This fitness class is open to the Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing individuals in the Deaf community. Our Strength and Conditioning class is designed to build muscular endurance, using cardio and core strength exercises to build muscle & definition.

Class will meet from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the Fitness Center. For more information, please contact Tracy at ts@bridgesfordeafandhh.org.

You are invited to join us for the Community Gathering in the Fellowship Hall of Bellevue United Methodist Church (BUMC)

Come and meet our Guest Speaker, Don Cabbage, Project Team Leader for Mockingbird. He will discuss plans for building the Retirement Center and Deaf Friendly Community. He will answer questions for you.

LUNCH:  After the event we will all have lunch at the yacht club, to eat and socialize.  Lunch is being provided by the Harbor Island Yacht Club.

ACTIVITY FORM:  Due to the popularity of this event, reservations will now be required!  The activity confirmation form (in the attached newsletter) must be submitted and returned by Wednesday, September 9, 2015.

Lunch:  Pot Luck - bring vegetable dishes and desserts. Meat will be furnished.  We recommend that dishes that must be heated, be microwavable.

Presentations include: "Physical Activity for Children with Visual Impairments and Multiple Disabilities"; "Communication Matrix"; and "Challenging Behaviors and Effective Interventions."
The program will run from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm each day

$25 per day; $50 for both days
Families with a child on the TN Deaf-Blind Census are free!

The 2015 Deaf Tennessean Expo will take place during the Tennessee Association of the Deaf Convention. Please come and visit the booths to learn more about Deaf culture and the Deaf community! It is open to the public!
