This workshop will focus on working from ASL to English in the trial setting. Participants will review source material and address the following paraments for ASL to English interpretation:
• Register/Word Choices
• Court Procedures
• How Features of ASL Impact the Legal Interpreter’s ASL to English Interpretations

Participants will learn by presenter’s information as well as hands-on activities in a safe and encouraging environment about how to team professional with a deaf Interpreter. The proper roles of each member of the Deaf-Hearing Team will be addressed, as well as how to problem solve as a team.

Our usual virtual HLAA Chapter Meeting will take place using Zoom.  This is an online application that will allow us to see and talk with each other in a group.  You can use Zoom on your computer, laptop, or Smart Phone.

ASL-English interpreters will be provided throughout the conference. 

Day 1 (Saturday 11/7) will be offered for 0.35 ASHA CEUs. Day 2 (Sunday 11/8) will be offered for 0.40 ASHA CEUs.

Purchase orders are accepted if payment is received prior to 10/21/2020.
