This training will focus on using service animals in business settings (restaurants, hotels, medical offices, etc.). Learn about state and federal laws that apply to Tennesseans with service animals and your place of business.

Join us live in Nashville and via video feed in Knoxville or Memphis at the Disability Law & Advocacy Center of Tennessee (DLAC) offices. Provided by DLAC and the Tennessee Disability Coalition.

Tennessee Deaf-Blind Project (TNDB) is a federally funded program that provides families, educators, and other professionals with information and training to help improve outcomes for individuals, from birth through age 21, who have a combined hearing and vision loss.

"Silent Voices Speak,"  is a FREE event to the public at the Hendersonville Public Library. The event features Deaf comic storyteller Kenny Tedford.  There will be two sign language interpreters present.  Sponsored by Sign Club Co. and  Volunteer State Tellers. Grant supported by Hendersonville Sam's Club.

Join us for the second annual FREE all-inclusive retreat opened to all 9th-12th grade students who are deaf and hard or hearing in Tennessee. At the retreat, students will get assistance filling out college applications and job applications as well as learn from successful Deaf/HH adults about their college and work experiences.

We are right in the middle of summer, and what better way to cool off than to have an Ice Cream Social? Join us this Saturday, July 12 at Noon for lunch and ice cream.  The flyer shows what to bring for lunch.  CPR training for those who have registered will begin between 1:15 to 1:30 pm.

Tennessee’s Department of Health Newborn Hearing Screening (NHS) Program will soon be hosting the Middle Tennessee Regional Taskforce Meeting for Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI)/Newborn Hearing Screening (NHS).  These meetings are for anyone who provides services to newborns, infants, and young children who are suspected to have or have been identified with hearing loss as well as their parents.

Stand Against Racism is a movement of the YWCA with the goal of bringing people together from all walks of life to raise awareness that racism still exists. The YWCA of Nashville & Middle Tennessee is pleased to welcome a diverse group of community leaders, including Mayor Karl Dean, District Attorney-elect Glenn Funk, Carrie Gentry, Rabbi Joshua Kullock, Dwight Lewis, Remziya Suleyman and others to share a few words on diversity and community. We are also recognizing the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which was signed into law on July 2, 1964.
