Medical is a setting where interpreters are most frequently requested to provide services. This often leads to interpreters not preparing adequately due to their presumptive familiarity. Amy Lankheit will focus on common procedures, vocabulary, and best practices while interpreting for patients and providers. Families are faced with all sorts of new challenges and situations that they don't know how to handle. Frequently they turn to well-meaning friends or the internet for answers. Unfortunately, these sources don't always have the best or correct answers. It is best to turn to some one who has the right answers. Elder Law of Middle Tennessee will be available to share information on planning for your future, powers of attorney, living wills, caring for adults and children with special needs, and how you can use technology in this process.
