WORKSHOP INFO
Participants will be presented with a historical narrative on audism and oppression within the larger context of society. Other topics covered will be Deaf culture, societal privilege, social justice, exploring personal views/biases, discovering common language biases, interpreting roles in and out of an educational setting, ally roles and audism. Participants will be guided through the four levels in Ally development.

Anne Frank emerges from the pages of history as a living, lyrical, intensely-gifted young girl who confronts the increasing evil of her time with inspiring honesty, wit, and determination. On Thursday, April 24 at 7:30 PM, a special performance of The Diary of Anne Frank will be presented that will be interpreted for the deaf. The American Sign Language interpreters for the event will be Crossville residents Bob and Kathy Tolich who, between the two of them, share thirty years’ experience signing and interpreting in law enforcement, church, concert and community settings.

We will meet at KCD Community Center on April 12th at 9 am for breakfast then Anna Tony Austin will be leading the devotional.

Come and bring breakfast dish to share with others. Bring a sister or two to grow spiritually.

This is the 5th reunion for the TSD Class of 1942.  On Thursday, June 26th there will be tours of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, morning or afternoon.  On Friday night, a 2-hr Tennessee Riverboat cruise complete with prizes and dinner will board at 6:30 pm and return at 9:00 pm. On Saturday, there will be both morning and afternoon tours of the TSD campus.  Then Saturday night, there will be a banquet dinner at the Knoxville Marriott at 6:00 pm.  See contacts listed for questions and/or more information.
