You won't want to miss meeting or reacquainting yourself with our November guest speaker Erica Newman, CEO of the Speech & Hearing Center. Erica is a former TV 9 reporter and is long-time supporter of the deaf and hard of hearing communities.

Hearing the sound of a smoke alarm can save lives during a fire, but for those in the deaf and hard of hearing community, it;'s important to take a few extra steps for safety. The Tennessee State Fire Marshal's Office and Johnson City Fire Department will be presenting safety tips at this free workshop. Free smoke alarms with bed shakers will be available to the first Tennessee residents with hearing loss that pre-register.
