This service is FREE for ALL FAMILIES IN TENNESSEE with Children Under Age 3!
Have you ever wanted to ask a question about your child's hearing loss , but it occurs to you after your child's appointment?
Tennessee Department of Health Newborn Hearing Screening Program is partnering with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center audiologists, speech pathologists, and graduate students to offer Tennessee families a unique opportunity. PLEASE consider taking advantage of this FREE service.
Telehealth is becoming an increasingly popular way for families to connect with experienced providers to learn more about their child’s hearing journey. FREE tele-health appointments will cover topics such as:
TIPS FOR CONTINUED USE AND CARE OF YOUR CHILD’S AMPLIFICATION
TIME TO ANSWER SPECIFIC QUESTIONS YOU HAVE ABOUT YOUR CHILD’S HEARING AID(S) OR COCHLEAR IMPLANT(S)
DISCUSSION OF LOGICAL NEXT STEPS IN YOUR CHILD’S HEARING JOURNEY
STRATEGIES FOR IMPROVING LISTENING OUTSIDE THE THERAPY ROOM (HOME, DAYCARE, SOCIAL OUTINGS, ETC.)
Again, these appointments are FREE to families! They can be done while you are in the comforts of your home. They will NOT take the place of the direct services your already child receives.
Videoconferencing is easier than ever before using your phone, tablet, or computer. We will help you set it up. If you don’t have technology with video capabilities, we can make arrangements for this FREE service for your family too!
