Established in June, 1998, the University of Tennessee Center on Deafness (COD) provides an array of programs for research, training, and outreach services that are related to deafness and disability issues. The Center prepares and disseminates resources on effective practices. COD establishes and maintains a variety of networks and collaborates extensively with academic and service delivery programs in the fields of education, rehabilitation and interpreting. Administers the following programs: Orientation to Deafness Program, Post-Secondary Education Consortium and the Basic Interpreter Training Program. Refer to each program in the Statewide Services section.
