DISABILITY SERVICES, EAST TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY

East Tennessee State University is committed to the goal of integrating students with disabilities into the campus community to the fullest extent possible. Services are offered within a framework that stresses independence and self-reliance. Types of service include arrangements for access, accommodations in instruction, and provision of a variety of support services designed to enable the student to take full advantage of the university's programs. Specific services available to deaf and hard of hearing persons include sign language interpreters, note taking, computer aided note-taking, advocacy, testing accomodations, coordination of auxiliary aids and referral. Students who have special needs as a result of a disability and require accommodations must contact the Disability Services office to request assistance
